The basics:
Train in various martial arts, meditate twice a day, in grad school for Integral Psych, teach Aikido and BJJ/self defense privately, work as a life coach  (http://www.Self-Victory.com), have offered women's self defense and personal empowerment seminars at 7th Heaven Yoga, Piedmont Yoga, Soja Martial arts among other places and the rest of the time just try to make sure to see my good friends who help me enjoy and have a good time!

My background: moved from Canada to Fairfield, Iowa where I was rasied from age 4 in a community and school system that practices Transcendental Meditation (TM) and has a spiritually integrated curriculum.  My friends from home are like my brothers, my family.  Began exploring intellectually in eastern philosophy, psychology and edu psych around 13 when I started practicing Aikido.  Studied classical piano, and philosophy (art and the art of living) at Maharishi University.  After putting my hands through a window in DC, I “broke through” to take up Aikido full time as a live-in disciple which I did for about 2 years all together, mostly in San Leandro, California.  Further integrating, developing and exploring in the mixed martial arts world.  Just working on developing my business and eventually will open my own dojo/holistic center. …I'm happy to have found this online community - feels refreshing to be yourself!
